Inbred: UK Horror Hits Phoenix FearCon V

With Phoenix FearCon V a little more than a week away, we wanted to tell you about the third of the four features playing the con this year. Previously we talked a little bit about The Holding and The House with 100 Eyes, today we bring you Inbred.

From PhoenixFearCon.com

Four young urban offenders and their care workers embark on a community service weekend in the strange, remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. Visiting the local pub, ‘The Dirty Hole’ which serves home-made (and suspiciously hairy) pork scratchings, they quickly realize they’ve made the wrong holiday choice. A minor incident with some local inbred youths rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare for all involved

Inbred is a British horror film from co-writer/director Alex Chandon. Chandon's previous work has consisted of short films, music videos for Cradle of Filth and the 2001 horror anthology, Cradle of Fear, starring Cradle of Filth front man, Dani Filth.

I’m going to be honest I don’t know a whole lot of Chandon and have yet to see Cradle of Fear. I do, however, know Cradle of Filth and I’ve seen the video he directed for “No Time to Cry.” This leads me to believe that Inbred will be gory and nasty. Just the way we like it here at Dark of the Matinee!

Check out the trailer below!

The film stars Jo Hartley, Seamus O’Neill, and James Doherty.

Inbred will be playing at Phoenix FearCon V on Saturday, October 13 at UltraStar Cinema in Scottsdale, AZ. Please visit PhoenixFearCon.com for tickets and more info.
