Phoenix Zombie Walk 2012

This Saturday, October 27^th is the annual downtown Phoenix Zombie Walk and Halloween Festival. Dark of the Matinee will be in attendance and it’s bound to be a great time. This is a family friendly event and there is a ton of stuff to do, such as:

• Rose & Crown Beer Garden featuring Four Peaks Brewing

• United Blood Services Bloodmobile
• St. Mary's Canned Food Drive
• BRAAAAAAINS

At 5:30pm zombies will begin lining up for the walk and will begin their descent over Phoenix at 6:00pm. The walk will take place in 3 corrals. The first corral will be led by the Arizona Ghostbusters, the second by the Department of Zombie Defense and zombie princess Casey Boland, the third by Dr. Diabolical. It’s suggested that during this time if you have small children, you keep them inside. Zombies can be stopped by removing the head or destroying the brain. Just kidding, please don’t hurt these zombies. They aren’t actual zombies; they are people in awesome make up.  There will be over 5,000 zombies in attendance for this walk and after their walk through downtown they will return to park for more festivities.

This event boasts some great live music by Chase Marquez, Checkr’d Past, Coin Operated Boys, Halocene and Recipe for Disaster.

5:30 p.m. – Zombies begin lining up for the walk.

8:00 p.m. – Live music: Halocene

8:00 p.m. – Announcement of costume contest winners

10:00 p.m. – Live music: Recipe for Disaster

11: 00 p.m. – event ends
