Serum is a new project from writer/producer Sam Kozel and director/producer Rex Sikes. Serum is about a young man that takes part in medical testing that results in side effects he hadn’t counted on.
From the IndieGoGo page:
“S E ℞ U M” is about Riley Allen Aidler, a single father trying to keep custody of his daughter after hitting a string of hardships. With his staggering debt and child protective services on his case, he makes a last ditch effort to score a four figure pay day at a medical drug testing facility to assure his daughter’s security.
He signs up for a trial where the nature of the drug being administered is withheld. The staff is friendly and gives him high hopes of the likelihood of being selected for a placebo. But after injection strange side effects spike his psyche and swim through his bodily fluids till…
Well, let’s save some of the surprise shall we?
This project caught my eye and is definitely something I can get behind. They’ve got a cast and crew full of amazing, talented people, but they need some help making sure these people are well taken care of. They’ve set about an IndieGoGo campaign to help cover costs. Go check it out, throw a few bucks their way and then pass it along to your friends.
Simple, right? Good. Now go take care of that and then check back here at Dark of the Matinee because we’ve got an interview with Sikes coming soon.
