Mark Pirro Set to Release RAGE OF INNOCENCE

I recently watched DEATHROW GAMESHOW, a horror/comedy from the 80's that I remember seeing when I was younger but could never remember what it was called. Earlier this week I opened up one of the newer sets from Mill Creek and randomly chose a movie. That movie was DEATHROW GAMESHOW which turned out to be on of those movies I remembered as a child but could never actually remember what it was. This was a nice, pleasant surprise.

The next movie I randomly chose from that very same Mill Creek set was MY MOM'S A WEREWOLF. This was a movie I knew nothing about, but the box said it starred John Saxon and that's always more than enough for me.

Watching these movies back-to-back I noticed some similarities and thought I saw some similar names in the credits. I looked further into it and it turns out both were written by Mark Pirro, with DRGS having been directed by him as well.

I decided to do a little research on Pirro and it turns out he's an independent filmmaker/producer who has done some remarkable work on the slimmest of shoestring budgets. Being a fan of these types of dedicated individuals I decided to dig deeper. Turns out Mark is still at it and that's fantastic news!

Even better, he has a new movie coming to DVD soon. Like really soon, like in less than two weeks! That movie is called RAGE OF INNOCENCE. Here's a post I saw about the upcoming release on Mark's Facebook page:

The limited edition collector's DVD of "Rage of Innocence" will be released on Tuesday, January 27th, 2015. There will only be 250 made in this edition. Along with the movie, the disk will come with behind the scenes footage, commentary track, slideshow and trailer. Rage will be available via Amazon.com and Ebay for $22, and at Rageofinnocence.com and Pirromount.comfor $20. We are setting up our website to take pre-orders. I will let you know when everything's ready.

This is very awesome news! I'm going to try and bring you more info on Pirro and a little more on what he's up to as well as reviews of the above films. Stay tuned!
