Branded a Coward: As a young boy, Johnny Hume (Johnny Mack Brown) witnesses the slaughter of his family by an outlaw gang led by "The Cat."  Pledging to avenge their murders, the townspeople of Lawless invite him to be their marshal. The town warns that “The Cat" will not be easy to apprehend. A gunfight ensues during which Johnny is seriously wounded, but he then learns the startling secret about “The Cat.”

The Cactus Kid: Jack (Jack Perrin) and his partner get paid a big sum of money at the end of their cattle drive. Shortly thereafter, a robbery occurs and Jack’s partner is killed while riding back to their camp alone. Determined to find out what happened to his partner, the Cactus Kid tracks the Outlaws to their mountain hideout, where he uses a found belt-buckle and a piece of a harmonica to confirm their involvement.

The Gunman from Bodie: In this gritty Western favorite, which begins with a suspenseful opening sequencethe three "Rough Riders" (Buck Jones, Tim McCoy and Raymond Hatton) are special agents assigned to look into a series of rustlings near the small town of Larabie. Working undercover, Jones discovers that the head of the rustlers is none other than a supposedly-solid citizen.
