Six films will be making their World Premieres on Friday, April 7th between 7:00pm and 8:00pm!
The films will also screen again on Saturday and Sunday of the festival.
The six films making their world premiere at the Phoenix Film Festival 2017 include:
- FALLEN- a humanizing look at line-of-duty police deaths across the country and how these losses affect those close to the fallen, as well as the communities they serve, narrated by Michael Chiklis (TV’s “The Shield” and “Gotham”).
- UNNERVED- whatever killed their son continues to haunt Mallory and Frank no matter where they go. While hiding out at a remote lake house, Mallory struggles to keep her sanity and save her marriage as the supernatural activity grows. At their breaking point, they elicit the help of a clairvoyant to help end the terror. But will it be too late?
- THE LONG WAY BACK: THE STORY OF TODD ‘Z-MAN’ ZALKINS- after losing close friend, Bradley Nowell, of the band Sublime, to heroin overdose, Todd "Z-Man" Zalkins fights for his life, battling a brutal pain killer dependency in what has become the worst drug crisis in North American history, the ”Opioid Epidemic”.
- THE MIDNIGHTERS- an aging ex-con struggles to adapt to the outside world after many years in prison—and begins to build a relationship with the grown son he never knew.
- SECONDHAND HEARTS- a photographer on a trip to Japan falls in love with a fellow American woman he meets at the airport. Upon returning to the US, he soon learns that she is actually his girlfriend's older sister.
- FUNNE: SEA DREAMING GIRLS- in Daone, a small village in Italy, a group of grannies are planning a special trip. Almost none of them have ever been to the sea, and they want to see it for the first time. But they need money. After some failed attempts, they decide to model for a calendar. Their last idea will make them pretty famous.
