The Phoenix Film Festival is excited to announce the International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival lineup! The International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival will feature competition films, short films, parties, filmmaking panels and so much more! A quick list of highlighted movies showing this year can be found below:
- Opening night film is Shudder’s DOWNRANGE directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (“Midnight Meat Train” and “Versus”). Showing Friday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.
- Jenn Wexler’s THE RANGER, a punk rock slasher mashup starring ChloĆ« Levine, Granit Lahu, Jeremy Pope and Bubba Weiler. Showing Friday April 13 at 8:05 p.m.
- The World Premier of CYNTHIA directed by Devon Downs and Kenny Gage will show Friday, April 6 at 9:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 10 at 9:35 p.m. CYNTHIA is produced by Robert “Corpsy” Rhine (Rob Zombie’s “31”) and stars Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween). Special guests Devon Downs, Kenny Gage, Robert Rhine and Scout Taylor-Compton will attend the festival showing on Friday, April 6.
- The heartfelt documentary TO HELL AND BACK: THE KANE HODDER STORY is about the man who played the definitive version of Jason in the “Friday the 13th” films. This documentary includes interviews with Kane Hodder, Bruce Campbell, Danielle Harris and Robert Englund. Showing Saturday, April 7 at 9:40 p.m. and Friday, April 13 at 10:00 p.m.
