Monster Brawl: 8 of Our Favorite Monsters Take to the Ring

The best part about the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival teaming up with the Phoenix Film Festival a year ago was obviously the influx of horror films. This year's lineup is looking very strong. In addition to Below Zero, which we posted a trailer for earlier, this year PFF will be home to Monster Brawl, a new film from writer/director Jesse T. Cook.

Monster Brawl's title pretty much says it all: 8 monsters battle it out in the ring to determine who is the most badass monster of all time! I need to hear no more, I'm already sold. But I ventured out and did some research and what I found out made me even more excited to see this film.


Swamp Gut emerges from the water, ready for battle



The movie stars Kevin Nash and Jimmy "The Mouth of the South" Hart! Now anyone that was a fan of the WWF (now the WWE) in the 90's will be very familiar with these two names. As a youngster, I was very much into wrestling and loved me some Big Daddy Cool.

In addition to the wrestlers from yesteryear, Monster Brawl stars Dave Foley. I don't think we need to tell you how much we love Foley, being the huge fans of The Kids in the Hall and News Radio that we are.

Monster Brawl has instant cult classic written all over it. Check out the trailer below and try to tell me different.
