Marcia Gay Harden to Receive Award at Phoenix Film Festival
Every year the Phoenix Film Festival gives out multiple awards. The most prestigious of these awards is the Copper Wing Tribute Award. Past winners of this award include Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Bacon, Peter Fonda, Cuba Gooding, Jr, Robert Forster and Virginia Madesn. This year the award will be going to Marcia Gay Harden.
Harden is a world renowned actress, staring in a wide range of films and known for creating great characters. She snagged an Oscar for her performance in Pollock and even picked up a Tony Award along the way!
Here at DotM she's beloved for her role in the Coen Brothers highly underrated gangster flick, Millers Crossing. If you haven't seen it, pick it up. It's a good one.
Harden will be in attendance at the PFF to take part in a Q&A session with audience members before receiving the award on Saturday, March 31. In addition to accept the award, Harden will be promoting her new film, If I Were You.
Only one screening will be held for If I Were You and it will be directly after the award presentation. Attendees wanting to see the film are encouraged to buy tickets now. For tickets and additional information please visit the official Phoenix Film website.
