The Millennium Bug: New Indie Creature Feature

During my interview with Mark Stolaroff, Mark mentioned a new creature feature called The Millennium Bug. Now Mark need not say more, I was sold at "creature feature," however, he did say more and my intrigue grew.

As it turns out, The Millennium Bug is a low-budget creature feature that was shot by a tiny group of people all working for no pay to make this film in a 600 square foot warehouse. And the film has no CGI. None. Instead the film was made with the use of practical effects, an almost lost art form these days.

From what I can gather, the film is about a family that heads to a cabin in the woods on December 31, 2009 to avoid the on coming chaos that Y2K is sure to bring. While up there, they have a run in with some not so nice folks and then the shit really hits the fan when some type of creature attacks everyone.

The film was written and directed by Kenneth Cran and stars John Charles Meyer, Jessica Simmons, and Christine Haeberman.

Watch the trailer below and be sure to check back often as I am going to try to bring you more info on this film. For me, this is a must see. In the meantime check out the official Millennium Bug website and YouTube channel. The YouTube channel offers up a bunch of behind-the-scenes-videos, defintiely worth checking out.
