Hey all. Matty here with a short rant about Netflix. Recently I wanted to watch the 2010 Fantastic Fest winner Kidnapped. To my surprise and joy the film was streaming. I sat down with some popcorn and readied myself for what I had heard was a crazy and menacing film. Unfortunately I realized very quickly the film was dubbed very poorly in English. I looked for settings that would allow me to go with the original Spanish soundtrack with English subtitles. Unfortunately there was only the English dubbed option for the audio. What the hell Netflix? Why stream a film without the option of watching it in its original form. To me, this made the film's streaming option pointless and upsetting. I mean the dubbing was horrible and the film, very much worth seeing, deserves better. I had to end up getting the film on DVD in order to watch it the way I wanted. I don't complain too much about Netfix. Dark of the Matinee loves Netflix but seriously what the hell Netflix?
