The House with 100 Eyes: Gritty Horror Comes to Phoenix FearCon

Someone with close ties to us here at Dark of the Matinee recently told us that they didn't want to take part in our snuff film viewing. What perfect timing because one of the films screening at this year's Phoenix FearCon is a little movie entitled The House with 100 Eyes and it just so happens to deal with the makings of a snuff film.

The film is the debut release from TapirCo Productions and is in association with Scream HQ. Below is a description of the film taken straight from ScreamHQ.com.
Three young drifters are lured by a seemingly normal couple to an escape-proof house whose every room is under constant sureillance. The couple’s goal? To film the snuff world’s first “triple feature” - the torture and murder of three victims within one night. What unfolds is an unflinching, documentary-style depiction of the horrifying events that follow. As the atrocities mount, tensions rise between the murderous couple, leading to a shocking, blood soaked climax.
What are the odds, right?

Watching the trailer, which you can see below, it looks like the film was shot on an old VHS tape that had been re-recorded over multiple times. The film appears to be aiming for a throwback to the gritty horror films from the 70's. We're on board!

The House with 100 Eyes was written by Jim Roof who also stars in the film and co-directed it with Jay Lee. Lee some of you may remember as the director of Zombie Strippers, the Jenna Jameson horror/comedy vehicle. The film co-stars Shannon Malone and Larissa Lynch.

The film will be screening at the Phoenix FearCon at UltraStar Cinemas in Scottsdale, AZ on Saturday, October 13. For tickets please visit PhoenixFearCon.com.
