Travis Mills and the Running Wild Films gang are always hard at work. From one project to the next, they never let up. Just taking a quick look at the projects on RunningWildFilms.com and you'll see two completed features, two features in the works and a handful of shorts currently in some form of progress.
In just under two weeks, on October 12, 2012, Running Wild Films will be throwing a fundraising event at Dark of the Matinee's favorite theatre, Film Bar, located in downtown Phoenix. The night will consist of a collection of shorts from the Arizona independent film company including the premier of two new shorts and a screening of the IFP award-winning film The Memory Ride in a new, longer cut.
The event will be the launch for the company's new Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter campaign is to help support Running Wild and their goal of shooting 52 short films in 52 weeks in 2013. That's right, Running Wild Films will produce and shoot 52 films in 52 weeks! An ambitious, exciting endeavor to be sure!
The night will consist of free catered food and as always you can buy drinks from the wide selection available to you from the Film Bar. Their peach ale seems to be a favorite!
To get a taste of what you're in form, check out the trailer below for Escort Driver, one of the two new shorts premiering on October 12. It features music from local Phoenix favorite Treasure Mammal and was written and directed by Mills.
