The Toronto International Film Festival wrapped yesterday. David O. Russel's "Silver Linings Playbook" took home the major audience award. That award has been a precursor for Oscar nominations in the past so be on the look out for this film this winter.
In other TIFF news, 40 films were sold at the festival. Festivals have become something of a testing ground for studio releases in the last year. Some have forgotten that these festivals are mainly about films finding distribution so it's great to hear so many did just that this year at TIFF. Variety has a full list of films
