The 12th annual Phoenix Film Festival returns to the desert on March 29 and runs through April 4. Once again the festival will take place at Harkins Scottsdale 101 in Phoenix. For the second straight year the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival will be running along side the PFF at the same venue.
If you're a film lover in or around Phoenix, or you're going to be here any time between March 29-April 4, checking out the PFF is an absolute MUST! For the past decade plus, PFF has been the largest and simply the best film festival in the state of Arizona. Each year hundreds of films are screened, most making their Arizona debut and a handful having their world premiere.
PFF offers a wide variety for everyone, and that goes beyond the films served up each year. Festival goers have the opportunity to attend workshops and listen to different celebrity speakers, past years have included the likes of Cuba Gooding, Jr and Peter Weller (aka ROBOCOP!).
The films are what everyone really comes for though, and that's where PFF really shines. Whether you're looking to take in a block of shorts from around the world or check out the newest Disney Nature film, PFF has you covered. PFF has been home in past years to Official Rejection, (500) Days of Summer, and Small Town Murder Songs, just to name a few.
| Tucker & Dale wowed audiences at the 2011 IHSFF |
Last year's inclusion of the IHSFF helped increase the flavor of films festival goers could see. Horror/comedy gems like Tucker and Dale vs Evil and The Mole Man of Belmont Avenue were given an audience.
So maybe you're looking to experience Hollywood classics of yesteryear on the big screen? Well, you're in luck because PFF has you covered on that front as well! Last year alone audiences were able to enjoy Jim Henson's The Muppets Movie and Federico Felini's brilliant 8 1/2.
This year's lineup is looking to be more of the same, as a full slate of awesome films are scheduled. Over the next few week's leading up to the PFF & IHSFF, we're going to bring you coverage on what films are playing, including trailers, interviews, showtimes, etc! So be sure to check back often to keep up with all the going ons of the 12th annual Phoenix Film Festival!
