Synopsis: Released on October 25, 1946, The Strange Woman reveals beautiful Jenny Hager growing up to become an equally heartless and manipulative young woman; finding she can always get what she wants from the men in the 1820's port of Bangor, Maine. Freed from the death of her drunken father she soon improves her situation by maneuvering herself into a position to marry a local, middle-aged and wealthy businessman. Though she often uses his money to do good, she continues to consider all other men fair game.
